Partnerships or/and co-operatives

As we have stated earlier; erbacce-press sprang from our poetry journal erbacce. We realised that there were many talented writers out there who really deserved to be read widely; gutsy and original writers like Misti Raiwater-Lites and people with a peculiar experience of the world such as the English war-poet Tracey Currall and the Canadian Lynn Strongin with her unique insight into disability. Already we were devoting half of each journal to ‘featured’ poets but we felt that many should be read more widely.

Thus we decided to create erbacce-press and to offer special services to the poets whom we read and enjoyed;

Service one offers a slightly less than A5 size booklet comprising free typesetting, editing and cover design with the writer then paying cost price for printing, postage and ISBN. And we mean ‘free’ and we mean ‘cost price’. There is no catch.

Service two offers everything for free. And yes we mean ‘free’ and yes we mean ‘everything’. No contract unless asked for), no obligation to pay us even if the book becomes a runaway success, we wont even charge postage.

Service three is a contract agreement but we are currently hoping to incorporate a publishing and sales contract with every deal we do.

In future we will hope to attract writers who will pay for some of our services and allow us a small profit so that we can plough that profit back and help other writers become established…. If that happens then erbacce-press will become a sort of co-operative with successful writers helping other talent to find their feet.

Weeds grow where they want to; not where they're told to grow...
